This was announced today by the acting governor of the city, Dmitry Ovsyannikov.
“The situation in the city is calm, the incident at the border did not affect the work of the authorities providing services. The townspeople responded with understanding to the introduction of additional security measures and are confident in the vigilance and professionalism of their defenders,” Ovsyannikov said in a statement released by his press service.
According to the acting governor of Sevastopol, the events of August 6-8 showed that the regions of the Crimean Peninsula have an unfriendly environment.
“In the previous two years, we experienced blockades of water, transport and energy supplies. External pressure stimulated us to develop and quickly solve complex infrastructure problems, laying the foundation for development for the future,” Ovsyannikov said.
Let us remind you that the Black Sea Fleet is conducting exercises to counter underwater saboteurs from August 11 to 13.
