A guest from Serbia is participating in the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

During the meeting, Nebojsa Stefanović noted that cooperation between Serbia and Russia in the field of defense is at a historical maximum, and Sergei Shoigu, in turn, noted that Russia is interested in further developing bilateral cooperation and helping to strengthen the potential of the Serbian army.
"We were impressed by your special forces and their highly effective work," said the Serbian Minister of Defense, referring to the recent joint Russian and Serbian special forces exercise "Joint Response 2021" (Zaјednichki odgovor) held in Serbia. "And I am very pleased that our cooperation is at an exceptionally high level."
Stefanovic recalled that Serbia is committed to its course of military neutrality and would like to further develop cooperation with Russia in the military sphere. Stefanovic also expressed gratitude to the Russian army for helping Serbia in the fight against coronavirus.

“Today our interaction in the military field has reached a fundamentally new level. This year, the defense departments of Russia and Serbia have a busy program of joint events. We are grateful to you for your decision to participate in the IX Moscow Conference on International Security.
In Belgrade we see a time-tested, reliable friend, partner and like-minded person,” said Sergei Shoigu, addressing his Serbian colleague.
