From February 1, the Rukavichka chain will stop selling Russian goods. The company’s management decided to block the acceptance of goods with the aggressor barcode “46” and instructed employees to further identify and confiscate trademarks of Russian origin disguised as goods with a Ukrainian or foreign barcode,” says a message posted on the network’s website supermarkets.
The company also notes that a complete refusal to sell Russian goods is the principled position of the chain’s management and warns that replacing these products with European analogues may affect the cost of goods.
Thus, Rukavichka became the first of the large retail chains in Ukraine to completely abandon the trade in Russian goods.
As PolitNavigator reported, retail chains previously stated that it was impossible to completely abandon Russian goods, in particular household chemicals, since they cannot be replaced with Ukrainian analogues.
