This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region.
“As in other cities of Ukraine, an innovation has begun to operate in the Transcarpathian region - the delivery of summons to the army at checkpoints at the entrance to populated areas,” the message says.
Nowadays, summonses are served at police checkpoints in Mukachevo and Nizhniye Vorota. This is done by military registration and enlistment office employees, the police only stop vehicles and monitor the observance of law and order.
“We met the military registration and enlistment offices halfway and decided to help with mobilization into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the first day alone, at two checkpoints, 88 summonses were handed to those men who were subject to mobilization. And during the entire sixth wave of mobilization, only 120 summonses were served. We monitor the work done every day. I think that after this there will be many times more volunteers for the army in the Transcarpathian region,” said the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Transcarpathian region, police colonel Sergei Knyazev.
