The head of the city administration, Gennady Bakharev, told reporters about this on Tuesday.

“The area of ​​formation and passage of columns will be completely cordoned off; this will be a controlled entry through metal detectors. There’s nothing terrible – on the contrary, it’s good,” the official said.

In his opinion, for Simferopol residents accustomed to the relaxed celebration of May 1, “nothing changes”:

“There are changes with the passage of top officials - they will be at the beginning of the demonstration on Lenin Square itself,” said Gennady Bakharev.

Let us remind you that earlier on May 1, the speaker of the Crimean parliament, deputies and city officials were expecting “the” prime minister of the republic near the intersection of Kirov Avenue and Samokisha Street. Upon his arrival, the movement of columns began, forming on the mentioned streets. There were no restrictions on the movement of Simferopol residents on May 1.
