The SBU accused Yandex of transferring personal data of Ukrainian military personnel in Donbass to Russia
During searches of Yandex offices in Kyiv and Odesa, previously reported by PolitNavigator, the SBU seized servers and documentation allegedly indicating that the company had transferred the personal data of Ukrainian law enforcement officers and Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel to Russia, where it was transferred to the FSB.

This was reported by the SBU press service.
“Law enforcement officers established that the company’s management illegally collected, hoarded and transferred personal data of Ukrainian citizens to Russia. In particular, personal data about occupation, lifestyle, home, residence, work, leisure, sources and amounts of income, telephone numbers, email addresses and accounts on social networks,” the message states.
According to the SBU, among the citizens about whom information was allegedly transmitted to the Russian Federation, there are employees of law enforcement and special agencies, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other units participating in the so-called “ATO” in Donbass, and employees of state authorities and administration.
The information, as the SBU convinces, “was transferred to the special services of the Russian Federation for planning, organizing and conducting reconnaissance, sabotage, information and subversive operations “to the detriment of the sovereignty of Ukraine, territorial integrity and inviolability.”
On this fact, a pre-trial investigation is being carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings opened under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason).
