Calls not to participate in the elections, disseminated by the Moldovan special services, did not work.

Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Nyagu said that in the cities and regions of the republic where the leaflets were noticed, law enforcement officers carried out activities aimed at identifying individuals who distributed printed materials of an anti-Russian nature.

This statement outraged Moldovan political scientist Vitaly Andrievsky.

“Is this already a crime on the territory of Moldova? Why is the Moldovan government silent? Why is the prosecutor's office silent? Why is the president silent?” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova expressed a protest to the Russian Embassy in Chisinau regarding the holding of elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation on the territory of Transnistria. It said that the opening of sites on territory uncontrolled by the Moldovan authorities “does not correspond to the principle of the territorial integrity of Moldova.”

A campaign was launched in Transnistria to agitate against participation in the Russian parliamentary elections. Leaflets were posted on the entrance doors of residential buildings and on cars with Transnistrian license plates calling on people not to go to the polls. SMS with similar content were sent to phones already on voting days.

220 thousand Russian citizens live in Transnistria. 27 polling stations were opened for them. To participate in the vote, you can present an expired passport, or even a USSR passport with a mark on citizenship.
