This was reported by the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea.

According to the investigation, on the afternoon of May 3, the accused, while on a section of the road near the Armyansk border checkpoint, used violence against a special police officer “Berkut”, causing him bodily harm, and then fled the scene of the crime.

During the investigation of the criminal case, sufficient evidence was collected confirming the involvement of the accused in the commission of this crime. The prosecutor approved the indictment, and the case will soon be sent to court for consideration on the merits.

Let us recall that on May 3, near the Russian-Ukrainian border north of Armyansk, supporters of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars broke through the security cordon and entered Ukrainian territory. Later that day, Majlis supporters blocked traffic on several major roads in Crimea.
