In Kyiv, Russian-speaking Ukrainians were declared to have no dignity of their own
Ukrainians who speak Russian have no self-esteem. Linguist and lecturer at Columbia University Yuri Shevchuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

According to him, a Ukrainian responding in Russian makes it clear with his entire appearance that he does not see his interlocutor as a person with dignity.
“We are talking about depriving millions of people of their dignity in a country that is their land. There is no other Ukraine for Ukrainians. There is another Russia for Russians, Poland for Poles, and so on. These people, millions, have no dignity. This is a very serious problem... When you address someone, a compatriot, in Ukrainian, and they answer you in Russian, it means that they do not see you as a person with your own dignity. This is unambiguous,” Shevchuk said.
