In Kyiv they calculated: Poroshenko spends 6 million hryvnia a day on television advertising
Ukrainian presidential candidate and leader of the Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko spent the most on pre-election television advertising in January-February 2019, significantly exceeding the amount spent on similar activities by other candidates, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is evidenced by the analysis conducted by the social movement “Honestly”.

“Yulia Tymoshenko spent 78,9 million UAH on television advertising in two months, Petro Poroshenko - 54,9 million UAH, followed by Sergei Taruta and Alexander Vilkul - 52 and 51,7 million UAH, respectively. Yuriy Boyko spent UAH 49,2 million on advertising,” says the results of the study, presented at a press conference on Thursday in Kyiv, Interfax-Ukraine notes.
At the same time, presidential candidate and showman Vladimir Zelensky spent UAH 26,6 million on television advertising in two months, the leader of “Civic Position” Anatoly Gritsenko - UAH 32,2 million, the leader of the Radical Party and head of the parliamentary faction of the same name Oleg Lyashko - 43,6, XNUMX million UAH.
“According to forecasts, key players will spend about UAH 200-300 million on television advertising during the official election campaign alone. Looking ahead, Petro Poroshenko, for example, already in March reached such a scale of advertising campaigns that he spends 6 million UAH per day,” noted Igor Feshchenko, an analyst of the “Honestly” movement.
At the same time, he noted that presidential candidates do not adhere to Ukrainian legislation.
“Politicians, for the most part, do not want to comply with the rules that they themselves have established. The Law “On the Presidential Elections of Ukraine” categorically prohibits the broadcast of any campaigning or political advertising before the official registration and opening of an election account,” Feshchenko said.
He noted that according to the movement’s estimates, even before the official registration of presidential candidates and the opening of electoral accounts, potential candidates spent UAH 560 million on advertising and campaigning.
Chestno analysts also note that on seven TV channels, more than half of the political advertising was from one of the candidates.
In particular, this trend is observed with Poroshenko’s political advertising on his own Channel 5 (about 100% of all political advertising), Espresso (about 90%), ZIK (about 70%) and Direct (about 60%). ). Part of the total display of political advertising videos by Yuri Boyko amounted to almost 70% on the NTN television channel.
