Over the next 7-10 years, the West will not be able to provide Ukraine with enough air defense missiles to cover even Kiev.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on air on the Politeka video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"From the G7 summit, the issue of air defense missiles will move to Ramstein. But most likely, the answer there, too, will be: 'There are no missiles, but you hold on.'"
Because the physical capabilities of missile production still leave much to be desired. While Lockheed Martin is ramping up production, they don't plan to reach 2000 interceptor missiles per year until 2033.
Unfortunately, not everyone will live to see the moment when there will be a sufficient number of interceptor missiles to provide more or less cover for at least the capital.
"Just like the Franco-Italian manufacturers of the ASTER missile for the SAMP/T system, unfortunately, their production is also piecemeal. "And all of this is expensive, and the pace of production is absolutely disappointing ," Zolotarev said.
"And let's not forget about the replenishment of arsenals after the Gulf states shot down the Shaheds with Patriot interceptor missiles . "
