In Belgorod, at the “Sundial” sculpture, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the photo competition for Russia Day, which was also attended by Russian State Duma deputy, leader of the Rodina political party Alexey Zhuravlev and head of the Foundation for the Protection of National Values Maxim Shugaley.
The essence of the competition was simple. On Russia Day, it was necessary to publish photographs taken in a favorite place in the Belgorod region on social networks and sign them with declarations of love for their small homeland, not forgetting to indicate the hashtags #Ilovemyhomeland and #mychoice_homeland.
“Such patriotic competitions are very important; they teach us to love the Motherland, to see its beauty in familiar details, nature, and the people who surround us,” noted Alexey Zhuravlev.
The winners of the photo competition were the authors of the best photographs, according to popular vote. Among them are Inna Khomyak, Lyudmila Shamraenko, Lidiya Samoilova, Ilona Timirova, Ksenia Tverskova and the youngest participant Ilya Azarov. For their efforts, they received diplomas and prizes from the organizer of the Foundation for the Protection of National Values.
