Ukrainian military expert: We are building the Surovikin line along Transnistria
Ukraine's goal is to equip all areas as much as possible , and engineering work is already underway even along the border with the PMR.
This was stated on the Lviv television channel NTA by retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel, former General Staff officer, and now military expert Oleg Zhdanov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" All threatening areas must be equipped with engineering solutions today . I'll go further, this could remain the case for years, maybe even decades. And we will cherish these trenches, constantly improving and strengthening them. We don't know how the conflict will be resolved; I don't rule out the Israeli option ."
"When shells continue to fly across the border, regardless of whether we liberate the territory and inflict maximum damage on the Russian army, or not. If they retreat but don't capitulate, the war as a whole could continue . We must get used to living in a state of readiness to repel attacks from our enemies," he reasoned.
"By the way, the same thing is happening in the Odessa region, along Transnistria. They're building defensive fortifications there, installing these 'dragon's teeth,' concrete obstacles. So this is already our reality today," Zhdanov said.
