Ukrainian lobbyist scares senators: “We won’t help Kyiv, American soldiers will die in Europe”
If the United States does not help Ukraine with funding, weapons and equipment, then soon it will have to send “young American soldiers” to die defending NATO allies from the Russian army.
Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island stated this at the debates in Washington, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Refusing this assistance is ill-conceived diplomacy. The consequences of the war will be felt far beyond the borders of Ukraine. I would add that if we fail to support Ukraine with funding and equipment, it is more likely that young American servicemen will be called upon to fight and possibly die and suffer in Eastern Europe.
Because, as many of my colleagues have suggested, and as Secretary Pompeo has suggested, Putin will not be satisfied with simply taking over Ukraine, and we can imagine ourselves being involved in saving one of our NATO allies,” Reed said.
