Ukrainian passions: The mayor of Uzhgorod threatened his subordinate with a voodoo doll
The mayor of Uzhgorod, Viktor Pogorelov, threatened to use black magic – a voodoo doll – against his subordinate, the head of the law enforcement department , Sergei Gorban.
A video of the conversation in the mayor's office was released by Gorban himself, who decided to resign after receiving threats.
The recording shows that Pogorelov forced the official to submit to his authority or resign voluntarily, otherwise Gorban's family could come under attack.

“You and I should be colleagues. And if you can't do this, you yourself won't be able to work here. I won't force you. Excuse me, but you and your family can suffer like this... Three days ago I helped one... Voodoo doll, can you imagine? My legs started to fail. We started to investigate and found a bag in the ground. People can do things you can't imagine. And what if with jobs like yours? You have to be careful here. Sergey, you and I have agreed,” Pogorelov says in the video.
