Ukrainian media screamed in ecstasy after the “master’s call” to Zelensky
Congratulations from Western leaders to the winner of the Ukrainian elections, Vladimir Zelensky, shortly after the polls closed, show that Kyiv will maintain Western support.
One of the main mouthpieces of the Maidan activists, “European Truth,” writes about this.

The publication claims that Zelensky’s victory not only destroyed, but also trampled on the misconception that it is considered bad manners to congratulate the winner until the votes are counted.
“Congratulations from the leaders of Western states came just two hours after the polls closed, when the Central Election Commission counted less than 2% of the votes! At the 5% mark, the presidents of Poland and France called Zelensky, and at midnight even the winner’s headquarters was shocked - US President Donald Trump personally called there,” the publication writes.
The article pays special attention to the congratulations of the American president.
“The call from the owner of the White House also meant the legitimization of the new president as a partner for Western leaders. And, most importantly, it became a clear confirmation of the statements of many European and American politicians and experts that Western support for Ukraine will remain despite the change in the name of the president,” the EP believes.
In addition, it is indicated that Zelensky’s victory, according to Western experts, “destroys the foundations of Russian propaganda.”
“The fact is that the Russians have long been promoting in the West the thesis about a neo-Nazi modern Ukraine. The victory of a Russian-speaking politician with Jewish roots clearly proves that this is not even close to the truth. The irony is that Ukraine will for some time become the only state in the world, besides Israel, where the president and prime minister will have Jewish roots,” the publication does not hide its pleasure.
It should be noted that, as PolitNavigator reported, a 72-page document published by the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs named Ukraine the leader in the post-Soviet space in terms of the frequency of verbal attacks and violent acts against Jews, their property, holy sites, and community institutions.
Let us recall that in the second round held yesterday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy received more than 70 percent of the vote, almost three times ahead of President Petro Poroshenko.
Almost 99% of the votes have now been counted. Zelensky, as reported on the website of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, is gaining 73,12%, Poroshenko - 24,48% of the votes of voters who took part in the elections.
