For some reason, Ukrainian security forces are hiding the passports of captured militiamen and civilians
Donetsk, October 16 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Ukrainian security forces deprive prisoners of their passports and do not return documents upon exchange.

This was stated by representatives of the proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic during a round table with the participation of members of the public council for the investigation of war crimes in Donbass together with representatives of the OSCE mission.
As Daria Morozova, head of the DPR Prisoners of War Commission, reported, the Ukrainian side often hides the documents of prisoners of war: “Recently there were negotiations with the Ukrainian side on the problem of documents that are not returned. Closed criminal cases are also not shown to us. But the Ukrainian side agreed to hand them over. According to them, they worked on this and agreed to hand over some of the passports and some of the closed cases. If we now arrange all this and coordinate our lists, then we will soon resume our exchanges.”
As PolitNavigator reported, in accordance with the Minsk agreements, Kyiv and the rebels began a prisoner exchange, but then suspended it at the initiative of the DPR. DPR representatives claim that the Ukrainian side used civilians, whom security forces simply grabbed off the street, rather than captured rebels, for the exchange.
