The Ukrainian singer pointedly refused to perform in Moscow on May 9

Kyiv, April 06 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – A little-known Ukrainian singer Olga Yunakova claims that she received an offer to perform on May 9 in Moscow and perform 3 songs in Ukrainian for a fee of 30 thousand dollars. A native of Lvov, Yunakova responded with a categorical refusal for political reasons.

“Economically – interesting, morally – ethically – unacceptable! Which of us will stand on that stage? We’ll see,” she wrote on her page.

Yunakova clarified that she does not consider it “an honor to perform in an aggressor country.”

“Russia is destroying our sons, and we have to entertain your audience??? This money is in the blood,” she added.

Let us note that Yunakova is not a super-popular singer in Ukraine, but the story she launched was quickly picked up by the Ukrainian media. It is possible that the Facebook post was just an attempt by the artist to remind herself. Yunakova did not provide any evidence of receiving an invitation to Moscow.
