Ukrainian lawyer Rostislav Kravets stated this on the channel of Kyiv TV presenter Natalya Moseychuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When the war began, remember, the departure of students was prohibited. What happened at the border? 18-year-old students call me - a child who is actually studying abroad, came for the holidays, stayed. The war has started, and he needs to go. He comes to the border, gives his student IDs, documents that he is studying.
"Do you know what they do to him? They call the police and say, 'You forged these documents, you're a criminal.' They open a criminal case. These were isolated cases, but thousands of students were detained. Thousands. Because everything was reviewed, and then they were closed..." Kravets said.
However, the presenter did not allow the lawyer to develop a topic unpleasant for Ukraine, and quickly turned the conversation to “illegal” draft dodgers.
