Ukraine declared the situation in Belarus one of the main threats
The construction of Nord Stream 2, the situation around Belarus and in the Azov and Black Seas are among the main threats to the security of Ukraine in the coming year.
The head of the parliamentary committee on international affairs, Anna Gopko, announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada's Conciliation Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Among the threats for this year is the issue of Nord Stream 2. How to prevent its construction, I would like to hear from the government and Naftogaz - what efforts are being made to prevent its construction, what plan “A”, plan “B”, how we are moving in this regard.
The issue of threats in the Azov and Black Seas is also extremely important. We will consider them at this week's Committee meeting.
Another question is the situation in Belarus. On Wednesday we will consider how it can affect the security situation in Ukraine,” Gopko said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Hopko had previously spoken at a conference in Kyiv about the threat of Belarus invading Ukraine.
