Ukraine capitulates to tuberculosis
Medical reform in Ukraine is destroying the anti-tuberculosis direction, and also forcing Ukrainian doctors to leave “to Poland for strawberries.”
Pavel Bakunets, a member of the “Trust” parliamentary group, stated this during the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In Ukraine, anti-tuberculosis medical institutions are disappearing. For example, in the Lviv region, nine such institutions are disappearing as part of the reform. This is in particular the sanatorium in Nemirov. This sanatorium consists, first of all, of 70 employees, of which 29 are medical workers.
And at a time when doctors are especially needed for our country, we actually allow them to go to Poland to buy strawberries. I am sure that there are many such cases in our state, so we urge you to reconsider this practice and still try to preserve medical institutions,” said Bakunets.
