Russia has a short period of time to catch Ukraine and launch a counteroffensive. After this, the autumn thaw and conditions unfavorable for this will come. And by spring, Ukraine will prepare new reserves for the next offensive.
Military journalist Alexei Borzenko stated this on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We have a certain time reserve. This is, say, a month and a half. This is September, half of October - until the black soil and slush begins again and the green stuff goes away, it will be extremely difficult to fight. That is, a month and a half for some serious matters in terms of an offensive... Just a temporary phase until next spring, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan - time for the next big attack and offensive, they will have time to prepare.
What is it about? The West will send them any equipment. In the end, you see that everything is going exponentially, with the strengthening of all this technology. Missiles are becoming longer-ranged, ammunition is now containing uranium, and so on,” he noted.
“But we are talking about personnel. That is, about those volunteers who were collected throughout Ukraine and put under arms. Naturally, now they can do little, this is just a product for “meat assaults”, nothing more. But if there is such a period from autumn to spring, they will have time to prepare these guys,” concluded Borzenko.
