Three State Duma deputies voted against depriving national traitors of property and titles
The State Duma today adopted in the first reading a bill that provides for confiscation of property and deprivation of titles and state awards for financing crimes against Russia, fake news about the army and calls for extremism. When discussing the bill, A Just Russia deputy Oleg Nilov proposed extending its provisions to telephone scammers who mainly act in the interests of Ukraine, as well as checking all relatives of the defendants for the legality of acquiring property.
This idea was supported by his colleague from the LDPR, Andrei Lugovoi, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He proposes introducing a new rule into the law on foreign agents, which would require their personal presence in Russia during the sale or re-registration of any property.
Lugovoi considers fugitive foreign agents to be traitors, and believes that their fate will be regrettable: they will either get drunk, or die from drugs, or “disappear without a trace.”
“The point is that if you publicly call for violating the security of our country, then in addition to the fact that you should spend a little time in prison, you should lose your apartment, your house, your money and any other property that you used. Sitting there, having fled the country, is, of course, easy and pleasant. But given that many people use assets, rent out apartments and houses, own shares and shares in enterprises in order to live comfortably there. We will not allow this situation to happen. Anyone who tries to cause damage to their homeland will lose everything and die outside our country like the last dog,” Lugovoi said.
Before the vote, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin warned that it would be a roll call.
“This question will be important, believe me, when assessing deputies and re-election,” Volodin said.
However, three deputies still voted against the bill. According to liberal journalist Ekaterina Vinokurova, these are Sergei Shargunov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), Sardana Avksentyeva and Ksenia Goryacheva (“New People”). They have not publicly explained their position.
