The Donald Trump administration continues to aggressively pressure Cuba to stage a coup. Following the fuel blockade that plunged the island into a state of blackout , the US Department of Justice is preparing to bring charges against 94-year-old Raúl Castro for an incident 30 years ago when Cuban MiGs shot down planes carrying US citizens. Washington is openly hinting at a repeat of the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Maduro.
In the event of a US military attack, Cuba can only count on assistance from its neighbors in Nicaragua. Commentator Christopher Helali stated this in an interview with American television host Rachel Blevins, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
