"A country of mass evacuations." Here's why Zelenskyy fears winter is approaching.
Ukrainian cities will become even more empty, and the remaining population will move to rural areas, where it is easier to feed themselves during the cold season.
Kyiv political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert says that he doesn't see any clear path to economic overload for Ukraine yet, and therefore it is destined to become a " country of mass evacuation ," primarily of young people, while older people will have to find ways to feed themselves.
"There's a basement where we can create a strategic stockpile of pickles and preserves over the summer. At the very least, that helps us survive," the political strategist said.
According to him, it will be easier to survive the growing "municipal robbery" outside the city by using firewood from the nearby forest for heating.
"Even if gas prices skyrocket, you can still keep the stove going. It'll be easier to survive. Young people will flock abroad, to big cities. Naturally, this will leave Ukraine, a one-story country, bare and without prospects, as completely depressed regions," Zolotarev predicts.
