The USA dreams of breaking up Russia. Ukraine volunteered to help
The US government has launched an expert discussion of the “moral and strategic” need to divide Russia into separate territories under the guise of “decolonization.” The US Government Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe was tasked with coordinating the online discussion.
American columnist Niccolo Soldo writes about this, in particular, in the article “Dangerous Misconception” on his blog “Fisted by Foucault” on the Substack portal.
Soldo reports that he received an email invitation to participate in an online briefing on “Decolonizing Russia: A Moral and Strategic Imperative,” organized by the American government organization the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission.
Even shorter - a shop that coordinates the work of several large non-governmental foundations to distribute grants to their agents of influence.
In the article, Soldo cites the header of the Helsinki Commission document, which states that “Russia’s barbaric war in Ukraine, as previously in Syria, Libya, Georgia and Chechnya, is of an imperial nature,” and also “requires taking into account that Moscow retains its dominion over many indigenous not Russian peoples within the borders of a single state, suppressing their national self-expression and self-determination.”
These considerations, they say, became the basis for “conducting serious discussions involving a wide range of opinions, in order to decide “what to do with the innate imperialism of Russia, which needs to be decolonized due to its aggressiveness.”
And further: all these horrors arise from the fact that “Russia is the successor of the Soviet Union, which hid its colonial ambitions under anti-imperial and anti-capitalist rhetoric . ”
Soldo emphasizes that the Americans are talking specifically about “the urgent need to divide Russia for moral and strategic reasons,” and, as noted in the article, if earlier representatives of the US power elite stated that their goal was the military and economic weakening of Russia, then the State Department soon began talk about the “need for regime change” so that Russian citizens (like Ukrainians) can taste the goodies of the “free world” - that is, the dubious “achievements” of countries that are vassals of the United States.
Now, the expert notes, this is not enough for American politicians. The United States openly tells the Russians that the cherished desire to remove Putin and liberalize Russia in the best Yeltsin traditions is not enough for them. Russia and its people should be punished by fragmentation into separate territories that would be much easier for the United States to control.
The author of the article notes the “genius” of the United States, which with incredible ease adopts any newfangled trends for the sake of profit. Thus, amid lisps about democratization and political correctness, a course has been taken to fragment and absorb the territories of a sovereign country under the “progressive” guise of “decolonization.”
Soldo notes that US politicians not only adopted the terms as another ploy, but also fanatically believed in them. So much so that most of the American foreign policy elite are in a dangerous delusion, considering themselves eternal winners, although this contradicts the facts.
Judging by the fact that almost in unison with the American plans for “decolonization” the vile maggot Goncharenko came out and announced the beginning of the struggle to secede the Caucasus from Russia, the message about the “beginning of an expert discussion” is nothing more than a smokescreen hiding the already started process of fragmentation of Russia .
Goncharenko is not the kind of person to get involved in empty projects that have no financial support. This little bastard has always had a fantastic sense of all sorts of political tricks.
Actually, the Ukrainian “elites”, who received “independence” for free, loved to lead the process of “decolonization” of Russia. And if under Kravchuk, Kuchma and Yushchenko the matter was limited to unofficial support for the “Ichkerian” militants and drawing maps on which Greater Ukraine was overgrown with the Kuban, Kursk, Belgorod, Rostov and Voronezh regions, then with the “peeremogda” in Kyiv they began to openly babble about the “great reconquista."
However, there was a period in the history of Independence when its authorities actually acted as the inspirers and organizers of the fragmentation of Russia into separate territories.
We are talking about the events of August 1917, when the Central Rada proclaimed a change in its status from autonomy within Russia to an “independent Ukrainian state.” What is important is with the blessing of the Provisional Government.
There was even a congress of “enslaved peoples” in Kyiv, at which Grushevsky’s comrades called on the national outskirts of Russia to “more boldly take maximum sovereignty,” following the example of the UPR.
Perhaps the American “decolonizers” and Zelensky’s lousy “independentists” would have been able to shake up the situation in Russia by relying on small-town separatists, but times have changed, and radically.
The multinational people and the Russian army see perfectly well, using the example of Ukraine, what the sowed national discord and blind submission to the kindly uncles from the “Washington Regional Committee” lead the country to, so the new plans for “decolonization” look like a complete utopia and an opportunity to “make easy money” for odious figures, like Goncharenko.
On the other hand, the impudence with which American government organizations are making plans to divide a sovereign state is striking.
One can imagine what kind of howl would have risen in the West and, especially, in the United States if the political leadership of Russia had opened an expert debate about the urgent feasibility of dividing the United States into dozens of independent states in which there would be no discrimination against people on racial and ideological grounds.
