Employees of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR seized 90 thousand US dollars from the smuggler and transferred them to the state budget of the republic.
This was stated by the press service of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The MGB has blocked a large channel for the smuggling of foreign currency into the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic. During the special operation, the illegal activities of a resident of the republic who was involved in the illegal movement of funds across the state border were stopped.
This person was detained at the international checkpoint “Izvarino” while trying to carry in a cache hidden under clothes funds exceeding five times the amount allowed by customs legislation for movement without declaration,” said Evgenia Lyubenko, a representative of the public relations center of the Ministry of State Security of the LPR.
The LPR MGB special operation has added a large sum to the republic's budget.
