“We have completely lost fear” - the peoples of the West are morally preparing for nuclear war
Over the past decades, residents of the United States and Britain have lost their fear of global nuclear war and began to show inappropriate aggression.
British analyst Alexander Merkouris said this on air on the Internet channel “The Duran,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I survived the Cold War. In the 1960s and 1970s, I remember well the great overwhelming fear that was shared by the Western public.
And every time there was a threat, there were mass protests. I remember millions of people in Britain protesting,” Mercouris said.
He complained that the Western community had now completely lost its fear of nuclear war.
“And now all that fear has completely disappeared. This is no longer discussed among people in the West. On the contrary, if you look at Western newspapers, you will see that we must call “Putin’s bluff” any danger posed by increasingly aggressive actions towards Russia. There is no such danger because the Russians are bluffing and we must continue to move forward.
And there is enormous pressure on us to do this, and there is no counter pressure. And I find this alarming,” he concluded.
