This was reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Safety of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Let us note that before the start of the armed conflict in Donbass, the sanitary and epidemiological service systematically carried out measures to monitor natural foci of especially dangerous infections, but with the beginning of the war the situation changed:

“Today, in the territory controlled by Ukraine, this work has practically ceased, since the specialized laboratory and qualified specialists remained in Lugansk,” the LPR Ministry of Natural Resources reports.

While planned work is being carried out in the LPR to prevent outbreaks of natural foci of infection, in the territory of the Republic occupied by Ukraine the situation is becoming dangerous:

“The Ukrainian media has already recorded cases of rabies infection among Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. The situation is complicated by the dominance of mice in dugouts - usually rodents cannot infect humans, but they carry rabies and infect cats and dogs that eat them, which fighters, as a rule, feed in order to obtain psychological relief,” the report says.

Official Kyiv authorities and regional officials from the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology of Ukraine prefer to hush up problems instead of trying to solve them.

“If this continues, the inaction of the Ukrainian authorities could lead to an uncontrolled outbreak of rabies and other particularly dangerous infections in the Lugansk region, which could take on the nature of an epidemic, the consequences of which will affect everyone,” the LPR Ministry of Natural Resources warns.
