The painful and inadequate reaction of Ukrainian politicians and the expert community to the Pope's words about the "white flag" gives the impression that the Vatican leader in Ukraine was expected to call for "going to Vladivostok and slaughtering all Russians," but he failed to live up to their expectations.
Ukrainian political scientist Gennady Dubov stated this on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert was asked “how is it that this Pope broke down so badly.”
“It was our colleagues who broke, not the Pope. And this is not the first time this has happened. The same bullshit happened with Kissinger’s quotes, he was slapped with “Peacemaker.” We then did not spare two dollars - to read the full article, to which everyone referred, and Kissinger was practically cursed.
There was something even more serious: they slipped the president into reading out, in essence, an accusation against the patriarch of world politics in his evening address. And within about five minutes it became clear that there was simply no such thing. Some British journalist wrote a headline, put it under a paid article, they read our headlines, cursed, said that it was canned, Putin bought everyone, the KGB, in approximately the same way as with the Pope. But it wasn’t there, it simply wasn’t there.
Same here. The Vatican press service has already said that it was not the pope who was talking about the white flag, but the journalist. They have already explained that we are talking about a Christian message, and that the Pope, due to the fact that he is the Pope, in any case could not say that it was necessary to reach Vladivostok and slaughter all the Russians. He is in any position for peace, cessation of hostilities, no deaths.

He recalled that the US President is a Catholic.
“I understand it’s war, I myself am not in the best psychological state, but this is not a reason to quarrel with a person who heads a church that unites more than a billion people, where one of the parishioners is a person named Joseph B. Besides him, the whole of Latin America is there , a bunch of European countries, we have a confession.
"They agreed that he was basically an Argentine KGB agent , and that at 77, he shouldn't be allowed to express public opinions. "Here, too, the same parishioner, Joseph B., was irritated by such rhetoric from Ukrainian experts and political scientists," the analyst fumed.
He added that Ukrainian politicians started all this at the wrong time.

And in principle, we need to forget about the ban on churches, given the rhetoric of the Republicans, for some time.
