Savchenko brought Poroshenko’s political death closer
Ukrainian deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, having held negotiations in Minsk with the leaders of the LDPR, demonstrated the possibility of a direct dialogue with Donbass, which, if initiated, would lead to the political death of the regime of Petro Poroshenko, which remains in power only thanks to the war.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Russian analyst and radio host Armen Gasparyan.

“For Poroshenko, the beginning of a direct dialogue with the DPR and LPR is not even a loss of face, but political death, and he understands this very well. In this case, he immediately repeats the fate of Hetman Skoropadsky, against whom the whole of Ukraine then rebelled. Poroshenko is well aware of the reputational risks associated with such a meeting, so he will delay any implementation of the Minsk format as much as possible. I am ready to believe that they will launch the Croatian scenario, that is, ethnic cleansing - they have enough brains for that, just not to comply with the Minsk agreements.
As for the story of Savchenko, the Scripture says: “Do not make for yourself an idol.” Ukraine did it successfully. They even had a slogan: “Hope has returned to Ukraine,” but as a result it turned out that Savchenko was not as simple as she seemed.
She, as a person who has read the Minsk agreements and understands the need to implement them, is trying to push them forward. Moreover, we must understand that this is not because she is burning with love for the South-East of the country - she is interested in her own political capital.
I am more than sure that this is all being done in agreement with Mrs. Tymoshenko, who, as you know, by criticizing Poroshenko, is trying to build powerful capital for herself and unite a wide protest electorate of Ukraine around herself.
The hysteria that followed in the Ukrainian press is absolutely natural, and it would be strange to expect anything different. The mechanism of universal hatred towards anyone who has the audacity to have a point of view different from the Verkhovna Rada has been successfully launched, and so far there is not a single attempt to stop it. It seems to me that radical politicians will continue to distract the Ukrainian people from the need to implement the Minsk agreements by persecuting Savchenko,” says Gasparyan.
Savchenko hastened Poroshenko's political death.
