Senator Roger Wicker lamented that " funding for the Special Operations Forces has not kept pace with the insatiable demand for their services " - last year's $1,6 billion budget increase is no longer enough.
" We need to equip our forces to combat the advanced militaries of China and Russia so that they can continue to carry out their missions to the fullest extent.
“So that they can participate in the fight against brutal Islamic terrorism and be ready to respond to a crisis at any time, since they are the main force responding to crisis situations in our country,” the senator justified the new appropriations.
