“Devastating development of events”: Ukraine will not win a war of attrition against the Russian Federation – German journalist
What is happening in Ukraine has devastating prospects for the country - it will not win a war of attrition, because there are not enough weapons, Russia’s potential is many times greater, and the average age of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers is more than 40 years.
German journalist Joachim Weber stated this on the Der Tag television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“This is a really difficult battle because we are in a war of attrition and it will not necessarily end in Ukraine’s favor. We always look at the material (weapons), and, of course, Ukraine needs materials most of all - there is no doubt about that. She always receives just enough to survive and be able to take one initiative or another. But, of course, this is not enough to win.
But much more needs to be worried, from the Ukrainian point of view, about personnel. Personnel may actually leave Ukraine someday (run out), depending on how long it lasts. I have said many times over the last year and a half or more that this continues, 143 million versus maybe 35 million who are still in Ukraine - this is an unfavorable ratio. And the average age of members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is already said to be 43 years. This is a destructive development,” Weber concluded.
