Wounded VSUshnik: The worst thing is Russian FPV drones
Since the summer of 2023, the Russian Armed Forces have significantly improved the conduct of combat, assaults and defense. Swarms of Russian FPV drones prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from entering or leaving their positions.
This was stated on Channel 5 by Daniil Goncharenko, a serviceman from the 243rd Battalion of the 241st Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who is undergoing rehabilitation after being wounded, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“They have become much more trained. Those people who remained from the old composition are now trained warriors, and they know what and how they are doing. They also thrive in everything related to drones, and at this level - it’s simply unrealistic to compare their number We have much less of everything that flies from above. And their infantry has changed. The last time I was there was more than six months ago, but at that time they had fewer meat assaults, and more prepared assaults, They see more, they defend better, they hold their positions better than before." – said Goncharenko.
Separately, he complained about “the worst thing” – FPV drones.
“If in the spring-summer of 2023 they were just starting out, because at that time there were drone drops, they were harassing us and we were harassing them, and then it all grew into the era of cheaper FPV, which they assemble in garages and bang it out - the further and more it carries, the better it will be, it’s cheap, and everyone is assembling them - both us and them, but they have it much more, and they have more capabilities.
So, like this, armor rolls in, and 20-30 FPVs just hang out at the intersection. One flies in, misses, then comes a second, a third, a fifth. They just hang there like a swarm. It's the same at positions—night and day. And it's normal to neither enter nor exit positions. Now the hardest part has become entering and exiting positions; it's not so hard to sit in positions, because there you're hidden in a hole, in a trench. But entering and exiting is difficult, because they see everything, and everything flies in," the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier lamented.
