The rebellion in Russia was neutralized, but not suppressed. Now the so-called “fifth column”, which assures that the country’s future lies in unity with the West, is preparing another coup attempt.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Den TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This is manifested in open discrediting of the actions of the country’s leadership, the president... in society in various directions. One of these areas is statements by authoritative scientists of the opinion that Russia is an aggressive country, that people who defend the right of our country to defend itself and conduct a Special Military Operation are pseudo-patriots who are driving the country into chaos, and that the salvation of our country lies in unity with the West...
The fifth column is very strong. This fifth column is acting to discredit our country, to destabilize our country from within. And now we need to take tough measures to combat this 5th column. Otherwise, an attempt at rebellion, an attempt at a coup d’état, more carefully prepared, will certainly be made, and perhaps more than once,” he noted.
“One should not think that the enemy is now after the neutralization of this rebellion - he was not suppressed, he was neutralized, we must pay tribute to the talented actions of the president in interaction with our friend and ally - the president of Belarus - but they will be taken. Of course, they will be undertaken more than once,” concluded Sivkov.
