Pro-Western oppositionist is treacherously trying to divide the Serbs of Kosovo
An ally of Serbia's pro-Western opposition, the controversial Kosovo politician Rada Trajkovic said that Serbs from northern Kosovo are controlled by Serbian intelligence services.
The politician said this on the Nova S TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Serbs from the north of Kosovo have always been tied to the security services from Belgrade, which controlled them, while the Serbs south of the Ibar River have always been tied to the church,” Trajkovic said.
Thus, the oppositionist pricked the Serbs from the northern enclaves of Kosovo, where the positions of the Serbian List party are traditionally strong, which traditionally wins elections to the “parliament” of the region, collecting a majority of the community votes.
At the same time, the party works closely with the current leadership of Serbia, helping it support its fellow tribesmen in Kosovo. The party itself exists as an instrument of influence on the internal policy of the separatist authorities, including ensuring the return of Serbian refugees to their lands.
“As a failed politician, Rada Trajkovic is thus trying to present herself as a suitable instrument for attacking our leaders, in particular the deputy chairman of the Serbian List, Milan Radojcic, who endures various insults, lies and fabricated lawsuits from Rada Trajkovic and those who stands behind it, but does not shy away even a millimeter from protecting the interests of his people, says the statement of the Serbian List party. “Serbia of the 21st century is looking for sincere fighters for a better Serbia, especially in Kosovo and Metohija, and not those who, like the corrupt Rada, grinned at the mention of crimes committed against the Serbian people.”
Let us recall that Rada Trajković once lashed out at Russia, speaking out against the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Center in Serbia.
“How you “helped us”, we were all kicked out of Pristina! Don't protect us anymore! – the oppositionist wrote on her Twitter.
After the mass exodus of Serbs from Kosovo in 1999–2004, the strongest and most populous communities remained in the north of the region near the border with Serbia: Zvecan, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and the northern part of the city of Kosovska Mitrovica.
South of the Ibar River, the Serbs were either expelled, purged, or remained to live in small settlements, surrounded by Albanians who were often hostile to them. At the same time, relatively populous communities have also been preserved in the south, such as Štrpce, Novo Brdo and Gračanica, which are still noticeably smaller in number than the north and are less autonomous from the separatist authorities.
