The West failed in its attempt to shake the situation inside Russia and thereby achieve a change in the ruling regime, so it is launching local conflicts along the perimeter of its borders.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the air of the Den internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Sivkov, there are already several tension points operating near Russia.
“The United States of America has failed. In a hybrid confrontation with Russia. The American strategy was absolutely clear - a military bridgehead on the territory of Ukraine, a blow from economic sanctions and an information blow, combined with a blow from within the “fifth column”, were supposed to overthrow the regime of the current president and replace him with some other pro-American figure.
June 24 of this year once again confirmed this version. But this plan failed in all directions, the strategy needs to be changed. The change in strategy could only be carried out in one direction - the outbreak and expansion of conflicts along the perimeter of Russia. This is what we have now.”
“What there is - I’m not even touching on the Middle East - is damage to a pipe and accusations against Russia specifically from Sweden, a gas pipeline between Estonia and Finland, which gives grounds for NATO to declare a security zone and thereby ensure a blockade of the Russian Kaliningrad special region . Secondly, the conflict started in Nagorno-Karabakh, then it was completed by surrender, now another conflict is brewing there over the Zangezur Pass in order to ensure the connection of Nakhichevan with the indigenous part of Azerbaijan.
To do this, Azerbaijan will have to attack the Syunik region of Armenia. There's another war brewing there. Ukraine continues, no one has gone anywhere, there is already a high probability of Poland being drawn into it. Accordingly, if a blockade zone of the Kaliningrad region is created, there is a high risk of being drawn into the Baltic conflict against Russia. That is, they are expanding the zone of conflict and, against this background, the emergence of a new conflict in this region, which affects the interests of Russia, if only because states friendly to us are located there, and our bases are located in Syria,” Sivkov concluded.
