Poroshenko is losing control over people with guns
If the information from the Russian side about the incident with the breakout of saboteurs into Crimea turns out to be correct, this may indicate that Petro Poroshenko is losing control over people with weapons. This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Kiev political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky.

“The FSB and the SBU published conflicting statements about this incident. Until the parties have presented their arguments, it is too early to draw conclusions about what happened. But, in any case, such a development of events is very dangerous.
If the group’s actions in Crimea were indeed somehow encouraged by the Ministry of Defense, then it is possible that there is a group in the military or intelligence department that is interested in provoking an escalation of the situation and the president does not know about it. In general, I can’t assume that this was done with the knowledge of the president, who just a couple of days before had tried to negotiate with Moscow to hold a meeting in the Normandy format on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
If the FSB assertion that this was done under the auspices of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, then the President of Ukraine needs to be careful - today these people were shooting on the border with Crimea, and tomorrow they will come to shoot on Bankovaya.
Unfortunately, our senior leadership does not have complete control over people with weapons, an example of which is the recent clash between members of volunteer battalions and the National Guard at the Obolon court. Therefore, if this kind of provocation really happened, then it is very dangerous for the president.
I don't think it will go away that easily. We are only at the beginning of a process that could be fraught with very serious complications – both in relations between Ukraine and Russia, and on the European continent in general.
An FSB officer was killed (possibly 2), moreover, on the territory of Crimea. It is absolutely clear that if this is truly a special operation, then someone should answer for this,” says Pogrebinsky.
