The state management system, including in the armed forces, should be supervised by people from the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate, who are accustomed to competing with each other in the creativity of organizing sabotage and terrorist attacks.

Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko, wanted in the Russian Federation as a criminal, stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"What was this patrol ship was sunk - this is an example of the direction in which the state management system - civil and military - should evolve. Because what the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine, which compete with each other in this area, are doing now, and we constantly see there... either the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out some kind of operation, or the SBU, this is exactly a model of the direction in which we should develop.

Because where there is more creativity, more opportunities for experimentation, results appear. And what happened on the Black Sea, where Ukraine has now simply driven the Black Sea Fleet into the ports, is the vector of the direction where we need to move.

We take the experience of the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate and scale it to the entire state and the armed forces as well. And there will definitely be a result. We take the people who are involved in this in the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate, give them powers and resources - and the system will run forward,” Romanenko said.

He added that he sees this as a reason for optimism and cited experts who say that the Houthis and Ukraine are now showing a new logic for naval warfare.

“This shows the correctness of the idea that the “cheap and cheerful” approach is decisive in the wars of the future, because too expensive military complexes and weapons systems load the economy so much that it ceases to support them.

We must strive to look for technologically advanced, cheap, effective solutions. Now, Ukraine and the Houthis are now succeeding in this regard,” the political scientist concluded.
