They want to start popularizing Bandera and Shukhevych in Africa
Ukrainian diplomats must more actively disseminate Bandera’s version of history around the world.
The former head of the Institute of National Memory of Ukraine, and now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Vladimir Vyatrovich, stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It’s time for us to systematically reach a foreign audience. We need to explain to the world that the history of Russia is the history of Ukraine. Explain to the world that Prince Vladimir ruled in Kyiv, and the baptism of Rus' took place in Kyiv, and not in Moscow or some other Russian outback,” Vyatrovich said.
For this work, he demanded the allocation of additional budget funds.
“There is still a lot of work ahead on this issue. And, unfortunately, not enough resources are allocated from the state. Since 2022, the world’s interest in Ukrainian history has grown enormously.
And I understand perfectly well that we have problems with the budget, because huge amounts of money are spent on defense. But one educational project is not that expensive.
Because it is precisely from a lack of understanding of Ukrainian history that even our allies, who two years ago believed that Kyiv would fall in three or four days, have a lack of understanding of this war.
Due to a lack of understanding of Ukrainian history, we, unfortunately, do not have support in the Global South, when the countries of Africa and Latin America, which are very sensitive to issues of anti-colonial struggle, for some reason believe that the war that we are having against Russia is supposedly a war for some Western empire. When in reality is this anti-colonial war,” the deputy added.
