Love the Russians: Polyansky suggested the only way to salvation to Ukrainians

Russia does not seek to destroy the Ukrainian people, but it will not return to a new analogue of the Minsk agreements either.

This was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by the Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

"We are determined to continue the negotiation process in Istanbul. It would seem that such a development of events should inspire all our international partners and be perceived as the first step towards future agreements.

However, in the West, the war party has not gone away, and such a scenario does not suit them at all. The voices of those who perceive diplomacy exclusively as a pretext for criticizing Russia and putting pressure on it are still heard," Polyansky said.

He stressed that Russia is essentially being asked to return to something similar to the Minsk agreements, while the West will continue to pump Ukraine with weapons.

"So why do we need such a situation in conditions when the Russian army is confidently advancing on all fronts, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are resisting with their last strength in a number of areas or have already collapsed? Especially since our opponents are in no hurry to eliminate the key root causes of the transition of the Ukrainian crisis to a hot phase. And those who seem to be facilitating the negotiations do not give any guarantees of this.

We have repeatedly confirmed that we do not seek to destroy Ukraine, its culture, or its identity . We support the coexistence of Ukrainian and Russian cultures in this country, as has been the case for decades without any problems or conflicts. We are not fighting against Ukrainians—they are a brotherly people to us—but against the criminal Kyiv regime.

And Ukrainians are becoming increasingly convinced of this. We want to be neighbors with Ukraine, not with anti-Russia. How, I dare say, would the US not be neighbors with anti-America? What is reprehensible about that? So let's make Ukraine sane again together," the diplomat urged.
