Kyiv threatens the Russian Federation with the extermination of the population of Transnistria under the pretext of “the fight against Russian Nazism” - and carpet bombing of Mariupol if the country’s leadership does not allow the “heroes of Ukraine” to leave the city.
Viktor Andrusiv, head of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, which published the country's development strategy until 2030, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian political scientist Yuriy Romanenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Andrusiv is convinced that the fight for Donbass will also solve the Mariupol issue. He insists that the Russian Armed Forces are “bledless” and therefore “are acting carefully, minimizing losses.”
“It (the Russian Army - ed.) is constantly changing (positions - ed.) on the front line. He can no longer fight. This armada provides partial rotation - firstly. Secondly, it covers potential encirclement on our part. That is, if we from Kharkov cut off this whole story for them, then all these troops should throw us back. I don’t think there will be a bigger battle than now.
They understand that the larger the attack, the more losses they suffer. Therefore, they began to carry out the so-called “creeping occupation” - point by point,” the political scientist argues.
He confirmed that Kyiv, prone to terrorism, will take Transnistria as a “hostage” with which it can blackmail the Russian Federation and force the country to make concessions.
“I am really confident that this situation with Mariupol will begin to be resolved next week for one simple reason - Transnistria. This will be their Mariupol. I don’t exclude the possibility that in the near future, strikes will be carried out on Ukraine from Transnistria, or we will identify conditional Nazis there who need to be eliminated there (they wear Nazi uniforms, but we are the people, we will carry out a special operation),” Andrusiv threatens.
“For them, the threat of Transnistria in exchange for withdrawal from Mariupol is a good offer. If I were them, I would agree, because the collapse of Transnistria is a signal to all their sub-republics that they are finished,” he adds.
The political scientist voiced the readiness of Ukrainian punitive forces to “cover Mariupol with massive airstrikes during the city’s celebration of Victory Day” if Kyiv’s demands are not met.
“I think that in a week we will have enough aviation so that they won’t hold anything there (Victory Parade on May 9 – ed.). If I were them, I would also go for this deal, because we have aviation and will continue to have it. It may become so sufficient that we will begin to unblock even Mariupol at the aviation level. We will simply drop bombs that are just as heavy, but on them.
For them, the best thing is really to simply release our heroes from there through Turkey,” Andrusiv escalates.
