Supplies of modern Russian weapons to Belarus may be dangerous because the republic’s army, under certain conditions, will be able to use these weapons against the Russian Federation.
Political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev stated this on the air of the PolitWera internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Suzdaltsev, Belarus wants to rearm, taking advantage of the crisis and Russia’s operation in Ukraine.
“Appetites are growing there. I observe these appetites, this is confirmed by Belarusian experts, that it is already necessary to remake everything for carriers of nuclear weapons, it is necessary to install those Russian weapons systems that showed themselves well during the fighting in Donbass and Ukraine, including flamethrower systems. Naturally, there is a big appetite for aviation.
In general, there is a very big appetite that the Belarusian army should rearm, taking advantage of the moment. But a question arises: the same Belarusian opposition and Ukrainians say that the Belarusian army will not fight. Will it turn out that we are arming the army against ourselves? If such a situation arises, they will simply turn their weapons against Russia,” Suzdaltsev suggests.
