“Eternal Flames” are “gas burner attractions” with no burials underneath.
Ukrainian right-wing radical and ATO fighter Dmytro Korchinsky, who was also the leader of the nationalist organization UNA-UNSO, stated this on air on the Magnolia TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Korchinsky, “eternal flames” and monuments to Soviet soldiers are territories that Moscow has “staken out”.
“Zampolitskie attractions, under them there are no real heroes, no real anyone. Maybe a couple of NKVD officers were buried there somewhere - it has nothing to do with it. These are not graves, they are nothing, they cannot be respected - they are an attraction. There should be crosses on the graves of people, any victims, heroes; they should be buried normally. But there shouldn’t be any attractions there, especially since Moscow is staking out the territory.
That’s where there is a monument to the Soviet soldier, where there is an obelisk, an eternal flame, that’s where we lay claim, she says. This is what they use to build up their territories, and this is why it must be torn down. You will see, under these gas burners there is not a single human bone, there is nothing there - this is pure attraction, because we have deeply researched this issue,” Korchinsky said.
