From Makarevich to Serdyuchka. The State Council of Crimea proposes to purge cinemas, theaters, restaurants, TV and the Internet
The Crimean Parliament is preparing an appeal to the State Duma of the Russian Federation to introduce a legislative ban on the public use and performance of works created by foreign agents or citizens of foreign states and territories who commit unfriendly acts against Russia, Russian companies and citizens.
This was stated in a statement by the speaker of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Today, in the context of an information war waged against Russia, individual cultural figures use their creativity as a tool of influence, spreading an anti-Russian agenda... At the same time, their works continue to be widely broadcast on the territory of Russia, including on television, radio, the Internet, theaters and concert venues. The state can and must protect its information and cultural space from such influence," the speaker believes.
Apparently, the initiative was formulated against the backdrop of the latest incident in the Bakhchisarai district of Crimea. There, the management of a cafe where a DJ played a song by Verka Serduchka with the words "Ukraine has not yet perished" was fined 300 thousand rubles. While there is no legislative ban on broadcasting works by foreign agents and artists unfriendly to Russia, fines are issued under the article on discrediting the RF Armed Forces.
The Crimean speaker believes that the introduction of the new article is morally justified.
"They forgot about Russia, where they were able to realize themselves, which gave them the opportunity to gain popularity. They must be consigned to oblivion. It was not us, but they themselves who crossed out everything for which we loved them. They betrayed and lost this love too. Forever," Konstantinov urges.
