Omelyan let it slip
Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan's announcement of a possible cessation of rail service between Kyiv and Moscow is the first step in the latest round of Russian-Ukrainian tensions, which Petro Poroshenko's entourage is initiating with an eye on the upcoming elections.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Ermolaev expressed this opinion on the air of the NewsOne TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The authorities have a desire to play around with the so-called “Russian question” and the “Russian threat” before the elections. You understand that transportation is only the first manifestation. Such steps should be followed by sharper movements regarding the conflict in Donbass and the creation of an image of a clear threat to the country.
I think that Omelyan let it slip, and I expect a whole series of decisions related to the sharp aggravation of the situation on the eastern front, an attempt to play at the military threat and new arguments in favor of severing diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation. Therefore, this is the first manifestation so far, and it’s not about Omelyan at all. The war party has begun to act, it’s just that some people stupidly blurt out when they don’t hit,” the expert said.
