Occupied Donbass refuses to pay Ukrainian TV for Bandera propaganda
It is necessary at the parliamentary level to influence television workers who refuse to provide free broadcasting of Ukrainian TV to the part of Donbass controlled by Kyiv in order to somehow achieve interest from local television viewers.
The head of the board of the Internet Association of Ukraine, Alexander Fedienko, stated this in an interview with Apostrophe, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In his opinion, residents of Donbass do not watch Ukrainian propaganda only because they have to pay 100 UAH (269 rubles) for it.
“We still need to influence the relevant three media groups in order to provide better economic conditions for local cable operators who deliver this (Ukrainian - ed.) content thanks to cable networks. Do you understand where the local TV viewer is? He doesn't want to pay 100 hryvnia for Ukrainian TV channels, because he has Russian TV channels for free.
It is a very depressed region there, from a financial point of view, because military operations are taking place. And we need to work with this population a little differently than we work in the central part of our country.
And everyone should understand this: both the military who are in the trenches and the business structures that work in our country and earn money. This is such life - if we all resist Russian propaganda, then we all must make an effort to do this,” Fedienko said.
“It’s a very interesting moment with these TV broadcasters,” the presenter noted. – They explained why they encoded their signal so that it became paid. According to the representative of the media group “Ukraine” Fyodor Grechaninov, blocking the signal was the right decision, since high-quality content is important for the audience, and encoding provided money that media groups spend on content production.”
“This is the explanation. How do you rate him? – asked the journalist.
“This is an explanation I've been listening to for over four or five years. In general, during all the time that I have been working on this issue, perhaps some quality content has appeared there. But I constantly watch a group of TV channels, I didn’t see quality content there,” the greenbot answered.
“I don’t want to say that this issue concerns the quality of content, but I believe that in this matter we must make sure that all our TV channels should be broadcast freely in that territory.
So that the population has access to all our television channels, and if necessary, even return the corresponding universal program of services. If anyone doesn’t know, there is a law in force where the list of universal software services includes free channels that operators must provide on the territory of Ukraine.
And amend the law that in the territory of the JFO, identify specific territories so that operators provide these TV channels to the population free of charge, and media groups also transfer these TV channels to the cable operator for free,” Fedienko added.
