The opposition organization Bypol, uniting fugitive Belarusian security forces-traitors, published a recording in which the former Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus, after his appointment to the post of presidential assistant for the Grodno region, Yuri Karaev, allegedly gives a speech to his former subordinates.
The outgoing minister assesses the situation in the country following the presidential elections, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We got a lot wrong. As they say, the generals are preparing for an old war. Both the troops and the riot police were preparing for what happened in 2010. This is mistake. Life has shown that those squares and their acceleration, and this is where they parted ways, are no longer there. The enemy is different: he is more maneuverable, he hits in all places at the same time. Moreover, not only by location, but also by topic. And most of all in the information space. It takes us apart across time, across factories, across universities. And now you have enough strength for everything.
During these four days, the Ataki groups, together with riot police and internal troops, saved the country. We took this into a more protracted, but still calm direction, where we had the opportunity to come to our senses. Already plan, and not just fight back. Already attack yourself and, in the end, from preventive seizures at the expense, or in time, move on to pursuing the enemy,” Karaev said.
He compared the actions of Belarusian law enforcement officers in relation to Belomaidan with the military operations waged by the Russian army in Chechnya.
“We have already begun to enter their territory, we have already begun to pursue them. And we, with the rest of the national security agencies: the committee, the army, the border troops, are pursuing them. And they are already running from us,” Karaev said.
He gave a very negative assessment of the Belomaidan participants.
The majority of the Belarusian people are stupid and narrow-minded. That’s right what they say – “fat ordinary people”. They are never for anyone. They want their life to be better and even calmer. They cannot see more than five meters around them. They don't fucking read. Their needs are limited - their personal well-being. Then they begin to wonder, out of boredom, what the country could be like. They are very easily influenced from outside when ready-made conclusions are taught to them by journalists, political scientists, and telegram channels. They themselves neither analyze nor think.
They are not the sovereign's people. And you and I are sovereigns who work to provide for this population, His Majesty the average person. They are not grateful to us. They will be grateful when they lose us and when they lose weight to the bones and remember what the country was like. Or maybe they will analyze who chose her. I really want to give them a try of this. Well, bitches, eat! But then you can’t get anything back. We do not have the right to give them a taste of comparison, as could be the case.

He also shared with the staff a meme that he came up with as a result of the dispersal of Belomainan: “They saved the country with their blue ass,” hinting at the bruises that the protesters received in the temporary detention center on Okrestina Street. The recording was made at the end of October or beginning of November 2020. Another audio recording released by the opposition in January also dates back to the same period. It allegedly shows the then head of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption, Nikolai Karpenkov, talking with his subordinates following the results of his meeting with the president. He calls on his subordinates to more actively use weapons and special equipment against protesters and warns of repression against security forces, which, in his opinion, will inevitably follow if Belomaidan wins.
