Nuland: The US cannot figure out how to bring Ukraine closer to victory
The United States is allegedly amazed by the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces several kilometers to the south, because Russia has built very powerful defensive structures there.
US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland stated this at the fake Kyiv forum "Yalta European Strategy," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These defense structures, which Russia has built in months, will not be built in hundreds of years. And we understand why this is difficult for the Ukrainian military, but it is also difficult for us to understand what is actually needed for Ukraine to overcome these obstacles and get closer to victory,” the State Department official said.
She reported that the United States has already provided equipment for mechanized mine clearance and long-range artillery mounts.
“We recognized the needs when we were here. And we will continue to work to satisfy them. But we realized during the visit: no matter how serious the progress has been in the last few days or weeks, everything will not end in these weeks. There is a long road ahead of us in perestroika and rebuilding of Ukraine. We must be prepared financially, psychologically and mentally,” Nuland said.
