New zrada: Zelensky “threw away” the Mejlis, preferring Kunitsyn
The Ukrainian government does not involve members of the Mejlis in working on documents on Crimea, but other former residents of the peninsula who held various positions under ex-president Viktor Yanukovych and before.
Akhtem Chiygoz, deputy chairman of the Mejlis, which is banned in Russia, announced this on the air of the Pryamoy television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The extremist called such representatives “collaborators” and called on the President’s Office to cooperate with the Mejlis members, and not, for example, with the former Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Alexander Liev or the former Prime Minister of the Republic Sergei Kunitsin.
“Stop using Soviet-era stereotypes. You don’t need to take on experts and collaborators like Liev as advisers, you don’t need to attract people like Kunitsyn, who frankly still continue to say these stereotypes that were aimed at interethnic and interreligious enmity.
We say: “That’s enough! It is impossible to consider the strategy of de-occupation of Crimea without the subject of the Crimean Tatar people. And for this, it is necessary, as before, not to attract the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people to cooperation, not to talk to them in expert proposals, but to attract them as partners, and then our international partners will understand that yes, indeed, all components of pressure on the enemy, on Russia, they are productive. Now, unfortunately, this is not the case,” Chiygoz complains.
